"Jurassic World" is an action science fiction adventure film directed by Colin Trevorrow and it's the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park film series. The story begins 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park. Today Isla Nublar is a dinosaur theme park originally envisioned by John Hammond. Visitors have already got used to these creatures therefore they want something more tremendous, more "fanged", more "wow". However nobody wanted it to be cleverer...

I'm a big lover of Jurassic Park film series and exactly because of it dinosaurs became an essential part of my childhood. As for the new part, unconditionally turned out the most spectacular one, especially thanks to special effects. Visual effects helped to show dinosaurs so realistic that one may think they're alive till now. And my word of advice: go to see this beautiful masterpiece in cinema to fully enjoy its mightiness.

I have three types of actors: the first one is actors whose appearance seems attractive for me; the second type is actors whose play charms me; and the third one is an union of two first types. And so why do I say it? I haven't seen "Guardians of the Galaxy" yet as I'm not a Marvel fan and therefore "Jurassic World" became my first film with Chris Pratt as a main character (only "Her"). And... he enchanted me at first sight - Chris Pratt himself or his role, still don't understand. As well as I still don't understand which type he is. So I'm going to clarify it watching the most remarkable pictures in his filmography and it means you may read these reviews soon. As for "Jurassic World", Chris Pratt coped with the role very well and his Owen turned out brave, magnetic and just cool.

I also want to mention good performances of Bryce Dallas Howard and Ty Simpkins which were vivid and believable as distinkt from Nick Robinson whose Zach Mitchell seemed quite boring for me.

Advantages
  • Chris Pratt as Owen Grady
  • Ty Simpkins as Gray Mitchell
  • Visual effects
  • Music

Disadvantages
  • Nick Robinson as Zach Mitchell
  • Not completed love story

"Strangenesses"
  • How does Claire run on high heels and in absolutely clean cream costume?

Clue Moments
  • Training the Velociraptors
  • The escape of  Indominus Rex
  • The abilities of  Indominus Rex
  • Mosasaurus

I think it would be a good idea to clear up what the Jurassic is. According to Wikipedia, it's a geologic period and system that extends from 201.3± 0.6 to 145± 4 million years ago. The Jurassic constitutes the middle period of the Mesozoic Era, also known as the Age of Reptiles. The start of the period is marked by the major Triassic–Jurassic extinction event. Two other extinction events occurred during the period: the Late Pliensbachian/Early Toarcian event in the Early Jurassic, and the Late Tithonian event at the end; however, neither event ranks among the "Big Five" mass extinctions. The Jurassic is named after the Jura Mountains within the European Alps, where limestone strata from the period were first identified. By the beginning of the Jurassic, the supercontinent Pangaea had begun rifting into two landmasses, Laurasia to the north and Gondwana to the south. This created more coastlines and shifted the continental climate from dry to humid, and many of the arid deserts of the Triassic were replaced by lush rainforests. On land, the fauna transitioned from the Triassic fauna, dominated by both dinosauromorph and crocodylomorph archosaurs, to one dominated by dinosaurs alone. The first birds also appeared during the Jurassic, having evolved from a branch of theropod dinosaurs. Other major events include the appearance of the earliest lizards, and the evolution of therian mammals, including primitive placentals. Crocodylians made the transition from a terrestrial to an aquatic mode of life. The oceans were inhabited by marine reptiles such as ichthyosaurs and plesiosaurs, while pterosaurs were the dominant flying vertebrates.

Quotations
* * *
Claire: We have learnt more in the past year from genetics, than a century of digging up bones! A whole new frontier has opened up! We have our first genetically modified hybrid!
Owen: You just went and made a new dinosaur? Probably not a good idea...
* * *
Owen: What happened to the sibling?
Claire: She ate it.
* * *
Owen: These animals are thinking: "I gotta eat." "I gotta hunt." "I gotta...". You gotta be able to relate to at least one of those things.
* * *
Claire: We're talking about an animal here.
Owen: A highly intelligent animal.
* * *
Claire: Every time we unveiled a new attraction, attendance has spiked.
* * *
Claire: What is that?
Owen: Her tracking implant. She clawed it out.
Claire: How would it know to do that?
Owen: She remembered where they put it in.
* * *
Claire: Corporate felt genetic modification would up the 'wow' factor.
Owen: They're dinosaurs. 'Wow' enough.
* * *
Owen: She's killing for sport.
* * *
Masrani: So the paddock is quite safe then...
Claire: Yes. We had the best structural engineers.
Masrani: Yeah, so did Hammond.
* * *
Gray: Can we stay with you?
Claire: I am never leaving you again!
Zach, Gray: [points to Owen] No, no, hm. We mean him.
* * *
Lowery: Someone has to stay behind.
[leans in to kiss]
Vivian: Uh, I have a boyfriend.
* * *
Masrani: The key to a happy life is to accept you are never in control.
