"Insidious: Chapter 3" is a horror film written and directed by Leigh Whannell in his directorial debut. It is a prequel to the first two films ("Insidious" and "Insidious: Chapter 2"). The story is about Elise Rainer who trying to help a teenage girl using her supernatural ability.

With all due deference to James Wan it's significant to mention that Leigh Whannell's film turned out more frightening. Of course, the main element is effects of unexpectedness which made me shudder some times. But there were also absurd moments like Quinn's lack of emotions or her father's reactions. Moreover, I still don't understand why appeared such characters as Hector, Maggie or Alex, who were meaningless and didn't do anything during the whole film.
