"Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" is a science fiction action film directed by Jonathan Mostow. It's the third film in the Terminator series. It tells the story of 19-year John Connor and his future wife who are pursued by a new more powerful Terminator.

Cast
  • Arnold Schwarzenegger as The Terminator / T-850 (Model 101)
  • Nick Stahl as John Connor
  • Kristanna Loken as T-X: the first on-screen female Terminator.
  • Claire Danes as Kate Brewster
  • David Andrews as Lieutenant General Robert Brewster
  • Mark Famiglietti as Scott Mason
  • Earl Boen as Dr. Peter Silberman
  • Kim Robillard as Detective Edwards
  • Mark Hicks as Detective Bell

The director is Jonathan Mostow, not James Cameron and it's marked: probably this fact makes the film not as classic as the fist two parts. But if I forget about it, I might say that "T3" is quite interesting, special effects look better, action is enough.

Arnold Schwarzenegger in role of the Terminator is as perfect as always. Nick Stahl as John Connor isn't a good decision for this part to my mind: he seems too childlike. I also like that this part appears the first female Terminator T-X well performed by Kristanna Loken.

Advantages
  • Arnold Schwarzenegger as The Terminator / T-850 (Model 101)
  • Kristanna Loken as T-X: the first on-screen female Terminator.
  • Claire Danes as Kate Brewster
  • Special effects

Disadvantages
  • Nick Stahl isn't John Connor I expected
  • Not James Cameron's film

"Strangenesses"
  • The first and the last female Terminator

Clue Moments
  • The fight of Terminators
  • Death

Quotations
* * *
Terminator: I'm back.
* * *
Kate Brewster: John, what is he saying?
John Connor: Judgment Day. The end of the world. It's today, three hours from now.
Terminator: Two hours and fifty-three minutes.
* * *
Terminator: It was Katherine Brewster who reprogrammed me and sent me back through the time displacement field.
John Connor: Why didn't I send you back?
Terminator: I'm not authorized to answer your questions.
Kate Brewster: Why didn't he send you back?
Terminator: He was dead.
John Connor: Oh, well that sucks.
* * *
Kate Brewster: Next time bring a clue, not a paintball gun.
* * *
John Connor: Tell her who I am.
Terminator: John Connor is the leader of the worldwide resistance and last hope for mankind.* * *
Terminator: We must reaquire Katherine Brewster.
John Connor: Why? What makes her so goddamn important?
Terminator: Through her, you make contact with remnants of the U.S. military and learn how to fight Skynet, forming the core of the Resistance. Later your children will become important.
John Connor: Whoa. What?
Terminator: She's your wife.
* * *
Terminator: Desire is irrelevant. I am a machine.
* * *
John Connor: What is your mission?
Terminator: To... ensure the survival... of John Connor... and Katherine Brewster.
John Connor: You are about to fail that mission.
* * *
Kate Brewster: So what's his story?
John Connor: He's a robot from the future. Living tissue over a metal skeleton. He means you no harm.
* * *
John Connor: I feel the weight of the world bearing down on me. A future I don't want. So I keep running as fast as I can... anywhere... nowhere.
