"The Age of Adaline" is a romantic drama film directed by Lee Toland Krieger and written by J. Mills Goodloe and Salvador Paskowitz. The story is about a young woman who is rendered ageless after an accident. But is an eternal life so attractive?

  • Anjali Jay as Cora
  • Richard Harmon as Tony
  • Mark Ghanimé as Caleb
  • Barclay Hope as Stanley Chesterfield

  • Lane Edwards as Dr. Larry Levyne
  • Peter J. Gray as Clarence James Prescott

First of all, "The Age of Adaline" attracted my attention with a beautiful image: fashion of the twentieth century that is shown in the film is worth to see. But it's the only thing which is a must-see.

Probably Blake Lively is a good actress however this film didn't help her to demonstrate it. Beauty and two or three emotions - that's what saves "The Age of Adaline". Moreover, it looks like living 107 years hasn't taught the young woman anything: Adaline stays the same at all times, no changes in her character.

In addition, Harrison Ford, my love, was in role of a lover not understanding who owns his heart. A little silly, I'm disenchanted.

Advantages
  • Costumes
  • Blake Lively as Adaline Bowman
  • Michiel Huisman as Ellis Jones
  • Harrison Ford as William Jones

Disadvantages
  • So melodramatic

"Strangenesses"
  • Of course, her ex-lover is the father of her new one

Clue Moments
  • The thunder-storm
  • Stopping ageing

To stop ageing - isn't it an unavowed dream of many people? And Adaline made it come true by accident. Forever young, forever beautiful... However it's only her who doesn't change: all acquaintances including her own daughter grow old. In my opinion, it's hard to keep an eye on the present and the future becoming the past. And this way a dream turns into a nightmare...
