It tells the story of Ed and Lorraine Warren, who are American paranormal investigators and authors associated with prominent cases of haunting. The film director is James Wan, one of my favourite ones. Therefore I couldn't miss "The Conjuring". And yes, it justified my hopes. To my mind, James Wan is a master of high-quality horror films so it isn't surprising that the film is full of sudden moments, frightening music and unexpected twists. Frankly speaking, the right atmosphere of suspense keeps up until the ending.
I love Patrick Wilson in the role of Ed Warren. A perfect husband, an affectionate father, and an expert in demonology. The actor showed each part of the character perfectly well, I think. Lorraine Warren was performed by Vera Farmiga. As the actress was consulted by real Lorraine Warren, it's plausible to assume that Vera coped with her role very well.
The story of Annabelle Doll is told more closely in "Annabelle".
"Strangenesses"

Edward "Ed" Warren Miney (September 7, 1926 – August 23, 2006) and Lorraine Rita Warren (born January 31, 1927) were American paranormal investigators and authors associated with prominent cases of haunting.
In 1952, the Warrens founded the New England Society for Psychic Research, the oldest ghost hunting group in New England. They are the authors of numerous books about the paranormal and about their private investigations into various reports of paranormal activity. They claimed to have investigated over 10,000 cases during their career. The most famous of them are the Amityville Horror, Demon Murder Trial, a werewolf demon, the Smurl family, the Perrons, Stephney Cemetry, the Haunting in Connecticut.
The Warrens were responsible for training several self-proclaimed demonologists including Dave Considine, Lou Gentile, and their nephew John Zaffis. In addition to investigations, Lorraine runs a private Occult Museum in the back of her house in Monroe, Connecticut with the help of her son-in-law, Tony Spera.
