When I'd got to know that the film is about an obsession with Woody Allen, I decided to watch it right away as its theme was close to me. And it still is: genius of Woody Allen is obvious. Light vein of humour, ingenious plots and a little of lightness - here he is. I don't remember that even once Woody Allen's films didn't save me from something - they have always done.
"Paris Manhattan" is the first feature film by Sophie Lellouche and unless I'm mistaken the last. As for me, her picture reminds a work of Woody Allen but can't come near to it.
"Strangenesses"
Advantages
- Woody Allen
- An interesting plot
Disadvantages
- Looks a little like Woody Allen's work
"Strangenesses"
- The sister who takes away anything Alice wants
Clue Moments
- Woody Allen's poster
- Woody Allen
Be obsessed with someone who is better than you is wholesome and useful because it makes you try to be better. An actor, a director, an artist, a politician - no matter who. Probably you will never meet this person in reality: unfortunately and fortunately at the same time. This way, your image of the object of passion will never change and you won't become disillusioned.
