A great film from my favourite director. I can't find right words to explain how wonderful is this picture. Acting, costumes, the story, details, dialogues... Everything is on the high level! Fincher's running time is almost always longer than two hours therefore I didn't note how fast did the time passed. By the way, the story is based on the short story of F. Scott Fitzgerald who is my most favourite author.
The work of actors and actresses is completely splendid. For example, I'm not a big fan of Brad Pitt however his role Benjamin Button showed me him as a talented actor. And I can say absolutely the same about Cate Blanchett. In short this picture is a must-see as its magnificence can't be described with any words.
Advantages
- Brad Pitt as Benjamin Button
- Cate Blanchett as Daisy Fuller
- Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story
- Visual effects
Disadvantages
- A little too slow moving
"Strangenesses"
- Growing younger instead of growing older
Clue Moments
- The leg fracture
- The house for aged
- Daisy's night dance
A viewer can see a strange love story which is changing step by step: when he grows younger, she becomes older. Time is all they need or it's better to say it's what we all need. Don't forget: time is fleeting so come one! Do what you want to do, say what you want to say, think what you want to think. It's of no consideration at all you get younger or older, there's only one result - death. This way all we have it's this moment and we must use it, enjoy it against all the odds before it's too late.

* * *
Benjamin Button: For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
